Getting pregnant is one of the toughest and luckiest things to happen for any woman. The journey towards Motherhood is the Greatest gift God can give a woman. Different phases of the pregnancy should be enjoyed thoroughly and only positive emotions should be experienced. Try to do something, hmm, actually everything that makes you happy. And more importantly, don't stress and Take it Easy !!!

Cravings come in different contexts (Not just food) when you are pregnant. If you want to go and meet your family or friends, do that and make yourself happy. If you want to eat (or drink) something that you love but not supposed to like coffee or tea or any caffeine products, it is okay to have it once in small quantity and satisfy your taste buds. This has been recommended by my Gynecologist. Its okay to have a cup of coffee or tea a day and it is totally under recommended value. Go chill out and spend some time with your girl friends. Do not think you are Unproductive (even if you are a Home Maker). Meditate, Chant and listen to music which you love. Lay your palm on your tummy (Baby) and talk to them every day for at least few minutes. Keep the cute posters of babies around you and watch them for few minutes every day. Make Exercise or even Dance as part of your routine every day. Squats helps you with your thighs and keeps your lower body strong and prepare you for your labor. Do not stress over petty things and sleep well. Its okay for your house to be messy. Its fine if you do not cook the meals and it is totally okay if you are going thru mood swings. Understand and let people around you understand as well that it is NOT you but it's your hormones that are making you act weird.

Plan to design for your kid's room, keep the gender guessing game going with your family, think about different names, plan for your gender reveal party and keep exploring different things.

Nutritional Tips:

Being a vegetarian and looking for different options for vegetarian food is very tough here in US. Protein in the last Trimester is extremely important and 100gms of protein is highly recommended to be in taken every day to observe real growth in weight of the baby in each Doctor's appointment.

1. Edamame seeds is one such protein that I have taken every day. Each edamame bag that's found in refrigerator of any store (Walmart, Trader Joe's, Publix, Aldi, Lidl etc.) contains 32gms of protein.

2. One boiled egg has about 6 gms of protein in it.

3. Folic Acid is one such supplement that is very important in every phase of Pregnancy. Some of us will get overwhelmed with the fact of the Pregnancy and opt for expensive multi vitamin tablets (example: 60$ for 3 month supply) but as per my Gynic, Nature Made brand's Folic acid tablets/ pills from Sam's OTC will also solve the purpose.

4. Also black eyed peas is a good source of protein as well as the folic acid.

5. Have loads of water. If you are not a good water drinker as me, set yourself an alarm and a bottle of water next to you all the time to remind you.

6. Each as many lentils as possible every day.

7. Intake as many green leaves (Leafy veggies like spinach, kale, collards etc) to keep up the Iron levels in your blood.

8. Try to intake seasonal fruits and fruits with more water content (like watermelon) if you are not drinking enough water.
